Abstract: The credit needs of small and micro enterprises(SMEs)cannot be met without the precise support of commercial banks, but existing research has paid less attention to the matching situation between banks and SMEs from the perspective of financial technology (Fintech). Based on 508 bank samples and 2148 SMEs sample data from 5 provinces (autonomous regions) across the country, this paper measured matching degree of credit supply and demand between banks and SMEs. Based on this, this paper constructed a theoretical model of the relationship between Fintech application, innovation level, bank enterprise credit consensus, financial regulation, and matching degree of credit supply and demand between banks and SMEs and provided an empirical analysis and test. The results indicate that the application of Fintech has a positive impact on the matching degree of credit supply and demand between banks and SMEs; innovation level and credit consensus between banks and enterprises play a partial mediating role in it; financial regulation not only negatively regulates the relationship between the application of Fintech and innovation level; but also negatively regulates the role path of Fintech application in matching degree of credit supply and demand between banks and SMEs. The research conclusion enriches and expands the measurement of the matching degree of credit supply and demand between banks and enterprises and the related research on influencing factors, and provides a scientific decision-making basis for promoting Fintech to alleviate the financing difficulties of SMEs.
