The status of a country's trade network and its impact on the export technical sophistication
SHAO Han-hua, LI Ying, WANG Yuan-sheng
    2019 (03):  1-11.
    Abstract ( 327 )   PDF (1850KB) ( 887 )
Based on the trade data of 86 major countries from 2001 to 2014, this paper uses the method of social network analysis (SNA) to construct a global trade network and then analyzes the network characteristics and status of individual countries from the perspectives of network centrality, strength and heterogeneity. On this basis, we empirically examines the impact of the status of a country's trade network on its export technology sophistication. The result indicates that the improvement of the status of a country's trade network has a significant role in the upgrading of its export technology sophistication. With the conditional distribution of a country's export technical sophistication from low-end to high-end, the upgrading effect of network status presents a trend of weakening. Furthermore, threshold regression analysis finds that an increase in the level of trade liberalization strengthens the upgrading effect of the network centrality and heterogeneity on its export technology sophistication, but weakens the positive effect of the strength. Therefore, China should actively transform its advantage of the status in the trade network into the advantage of export technology sophistication, materializing the transition of China from a large trading market to a large trading power, and realizing high-quality development of trade.

Quality Effect and Cost Effect Of China's OFDI On Export-A Research Based on Price Decomposition Model for Heterogeneous Products
    FENG Xiao-yun
    2019 (03):  12-22.
    Abstract ( 377 )   PDF (1467KB) ( 770 )
Based on the decomposition of export price in heterogeneous product model, we estimate export quality and quality-adjusted price(export product cost) during the period of 2003-2016, and then we examine quality effect and cost effect of China's OFDI on export. The empirical results show that China's OFDI brings about a positive effect on export quality,a negative effect on product cost. Then we analyze heterogeneous influences and find that, before Financial Crisis, China's OFDI to countries with highest-level income improves export quality and reduces product cost; while after Financial Crisis, these effects above are realized by OFDI to countries with middle-low-level income. From types of products, we find that China's OFDI significantly improves export quality of heterogeneous goods & intermediates goods, and reduces product cost of them; while for homogeneous products & final products, OFDI only has a significant lowering effect on cost.

Financial Inclusion and Employment Increase:Direct and Spatial Spillover Effects
LIN Chun, KANG Kuan, SUN Ying-jie
    2019 (03):  23-36.
    Abstract ( 369 )   PDF (3943KB) ( 845 )
Under the background that the gross employment contradiction has been alleviated and the structural employment contradiction has become increasingly intensified, based on the provincial panel data of China from 2005 to 2015, this paper empirically investigates the effect of financial inclusion on employment by using ordinary panel and spatial panel model. The conclusions are as follows:the development of financial inclusion can significantly promote the level of the employment of the primary and third industries, undertake the structural and frictional unemployment of the secondary industry, and then promote the overall level of employment; The coordination of financial inclusion development among regions is insufficient, and the development of financial inclusion in surrounding areas has a negative spillover effect on employment. The effect of financial inclusion development on the overall employment in coastal areas is not significant, but there is more coordination among regions. The financial inclusion development in inland areas has a significant role in promoting the employment of all industries, but the coordination between regions is insufficient. Financial inclusion development promotes the level of employment in both producer and life services, but it has a negative spillover effect.

Can the Deposit Insurance System Prevent the Bank Systemic Risk-An empirical test based on the Panel-Logit model
    Han Xi-kun, Ma De-gong
    2019 (03):  37-46.
    Abstract ( 324 )   PDF (1348KB) ( 746 )
Based on the data of 76 sample countries around the world, this paper studies the relationship between the deposit insurance system and the bank systemic risk of the bank by constructing the Panel-Logit model. The result shows that:the market-oriented reform of interest rates will aggravate the instability of the banking system. Then the establishment of deposit insurance system can reduce the probability of bank systemic risk, but the effect is not significant enough. After the completion of interest rate marketization, the financial stability effect of the deposit insurance system will also decline. The strengthening of banking supervision helps to prevent the occurrence of systemic risks. At the same time, when combined with the deposit insurance system, it can form a modern financial safety net and significantly improve the financial stability of the deposit insurance system. In the designing of the deposit insurance system, the stronger independence and regulatory functions of deposit insurance institutions, the depositors' participation in insurance, and the risk-adjusted rates will help to reduce the probability of bank systemic risk.

Research on the Impact of Authentic Leadership on Employee Innovative Behavior Based on Chain Intermediary effect
YANG Jie, CHANG Ming-chao, HUANG Yong
    2019 (03):  47-54.
    Abstract ( 271 )   PDF (1016KB) ( 1130 )
Based on the values theory and social cognitive theory, the complex influencing mechanism of authentic leadership on employee innovative behavior was investigated. With 374 employee questionnaires, hypothesis testing was conducted through hierarchical regression analysis and Bootstrap method. Authentic leadership was positively related to employee innovative behavior. Uncertainty avoidance and creative self-efficacy mediated the relationship between the authentic leadership and the innovative behavior, and also play a chain mediation. That is, the authentic leadership affects the creative self-efficacy of employees by reducing the degree of uncertainty avoidance, and then stimulates the innovative behavior. The study reveals the more complex mechanisms between the authentic leadership and the innovative behavior of employees, and provides theoretical basis for how to motivate the employee innovative behavior effectively.

Research on the local employment of Chinese enterprises invest in overseas:occupational mobility and skill returns-Based on the data of Southeast countries survey
    YAO Xiao-bing, CHEN Ying
    2019 (03):  55-63.
    Abstract ( 267 )   PDF (1366KB) ( 853 )
Based on the first-hand survey data which including 852 host country employees and 118 Chinese company samples invested in Laos Thailand and Cambodia, this paper aims at the problems of employee turnover and skill returns faced by Chinese companies' overseas investment. The study found that the host country's labor forces gained a high cognitive skill premium in Chinese companies, but the non-cognitive skill premium was not obvious. The relationship between occupational mobility and skill accumulation shows the "U"-type relationship. On the occupational mobility condition, non-cognitive skills returns of the mobile labor force is not obvious. But, weather occupational mobility or not, the relationship between labor mobility and cognitive skill returns are significant. Studies have also shown that too frequent flows can weaken the growth effect of skill returns, and the appropriate number of flows can strengthen the growth effect of skill returns.

ZHANG Mo, CHEN Heng, GUAN Jun, LIN Chao-ran
    2019 (03):  64-74.
    Abstract ( 260 )   PDF (1703KB) ( 865 )
Aiming at the implementation of China's innovation encouragement policy and intellectual property protection policy, this paper explores the evolution process of open and appropriability mixed innovation strategy and government decision-making in the process of enterprise innovation from the perspective of evolutionary game theory. An evolutionary game model of the government's open innovation incentive policy, intellectual property encouragement policy and the open and appropriability mixed innovation strategy of the enterprise were established. According to the replication dynamic equation, the participants' behavior evolution law and behavior evolution stability strategy were obtained, and the influencing factors of the enterprise's open and appropriability mixed innovation strategy were analyzed. The results show that the open evaluation coefficient, exclusive conversion coefficient, open subsidy coefficient, intellectual property subsidy coefficient and the initial proportion of adopting open and appropriability strategies in the system will have an impact on the open and exclusive mixed innovation strategy of enterprises.

    2019 (03):  89-98.
    Abstract ( 358 )   PDF (1401KB) ( 779 )
Through theoretical analysis, the first time to build the Yangtze river economic belt inclusive green growth evaluation system, selection of entropy TOPSIS method for evaluation of the Yangtze river economic belt in 110 cities inclusive green growth level, using the gini coefficient, tal index and logarithmic average deviation difference index to measure the each equalization of inclusive green growth in the area of the Yangtze river economic belt, and introduce σconvergence model, the model of absolute βconvergence and conditional βconvergence model test its convergence characteristics. The results showed that the overall inclusive green growth level of the Yangtze river economic belt took 2013 as the turning point, and showed a trend of decreasing first and then increasing.Among them, economic development and ecological environmental protection play the two most important parts in the overall inclusive green growth of the Yangtze river economic belt. Taking 2013 as the inflection point, regional differences show an "inverted u-shaped" change trend of rising first and then falling. Regional inclusive green growth, there is a significant βconvergence in the absolute value of coefficient of convergence in the middle area significantly greater than the downstream areas, with middle region of downstream of the "catch-up effect", technical innovation and human capital level of each area has significant positive effect on convergence of inclusive green growth.

Comparison of the Effects of Metro Construction and Traffic Restriction on Urban Air Quality-Should be “Dredging” or “Blocking” by Local Government
    XIAO Ting
    2019 (03):  99-110.
    Abstract ( 346 )   PDF (3040KB) ( 852 )
Many cities in China are faced with serious environmental pressure. Policy makers have tried many means, such as developing metro to ease traffic pressure or introducing policies to restrict private car travel. These two methods can be regarded as a quasi-natural experiment. The study points out that the dredging policy (metro) to solve the traffic and environmental problems is more favorable, but the effect will gradually weaken, and the restriction policy will have a limited impact on air quality. However, for some cities, the effect of the two methods will be more prominent. It is pointed out that policy makers should control the intensity and contingency effect of the two methods.
