房价不平衡、劳动力流动与工资收入差距

摘要: 改善收入分配格局是扎实推进共同富裕的根本途径。已有研究主要基于财产性收入论证房价与居民收入差距的因果关系,本文从房价不平衡的现实角度出发,通过引入不同技能劳动力流动差异,探讨房价不平衡对工资收入差距的影响。研究发现,住房价格对工资收入差距的扩大作用随房价上涨而持续增强,房价不平衡能够显著扩大工资收入差距。机制检验结果表明,房价不平衡加剧了不同技能劳动力之间的流动差异,致使高技能劳动力拥有相对更强的流动性,而劳动力流动对高技能劳动力的工资收入又具有相对更强的提升作用,因此在房价差异和劳动力技能差异的双重作用下,我国劳动要素配置的不合理程度提升,劳动力工资收入差距不断扩大。研究结论有助于丰富房价与居民收入差距之间的结构性问题探索,深入追溯居民收入差距的不合理成因,为缩小居民收入差距提供新思路。

Abstract: Improving the income distribution pattern is the fundamental way to promote common prosperity. Previous studies have mainly demonstrated the causal relationship between housing price and income gap of residents based on property income. From the realistic perspective of housing price imbalance, this paper discusses the influence of housing price imbalance on wage income gap by introducing the difference of labor mobility with different skills. It is found that the role of housing price in widening the wage income gap continues to increase with the increase of housing prices, and the imbalance of housing prices can significantly widen the wage income gap. The results of the mechanism test show that the imbalance of housing prices intensifies the mobility difference between different skilled laborers, which leads to the relatively stronger mobility of high-skilled laborers, and the mobility of labor forces has a relatively stronger role in promoting the wage income of high-skilled laborers. Therefore, under the dual effects of housing price difference and labor skill difference, the unreasonable degree of labor factor allocation in China has increased, and the wage income gap of labor forces has been widening. The conclusion of the study is helpful to enrich the exploration of structural problems between housing prices and residents' income gap, deeply trace the unreasonable causes of residents' income gap, and provide new ideas for narrowing the income gap.
