Abstract: Based on the micro-panel data of 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country from 2012 to 2019, the analytic hierarchy process is used to construct the critical illness insurance and commercial critical illness insurance rating index system, and then the coupling and coordination model in physics is introduced from the perspective of time series and space. An empirical analysis of the degree of coupling and coordination between critical illness insurance and commercial critical illness insurance found that: The coupling degree of critical illness insurance and commercial critical illness insurance is in the dying phase, and the coupling coordination degree of critical illness insurance and commercial critical illness insurance is increasing year by year. The comprehensive development level of commercial critical illness insurance and commercial critical illness insurance differs greatly in the eastern and western regions. The coupling degree of critical illness insurance and commercial critical illness insurance in most parts of the country is in the dying stage, and there is a problem of imbalance in the coupling coordination between critical illness insurance and commercial critical illness insurance. Therefore, critical illness insurance requires commercial critical illness insurance to complement and link, and it is necessary to continue to focus on the development of commercial critical illness insurance in the western region to achieve coordination and complementarity between the two.
