Analysis of the influence on banks' innovation from the internet finance-Based on the samples of 62 municipal commercial banks

Abstract: Recently, the Internet Finance develops rapidly because of open platform and low cost. While the internet finance occupied resources and customers of traditional banks, it has positive effect on commercial banks. Based on the samples from 2009 to 2013 of municipal commercial banks in china, we explore the influence on municipal commercial banks' innovation from the internet finance. According to the results, the internet finance has no significant positive influence on innovative behavior of municipal commercial banks. However, further studies have found that the internet finance's occupation to the intermediate business of commercial banks has offset the positive effect greatly, which makes the income gradually reduced with the development of the internet finance.
